Pak textbooks build hate culture against India | |
K Khan,Lahore, says:I have read the same Pakistani Textbooks that the author is talking about. Every line he has written is true. And I am a Pakistani and a practicing Sunni Muslim. [27 Dec, 2008 0424hrs IST] ravi,Italy,says:...and still Pakistanis run their businesses by associating themselves with India. Forget about big business, it is hard to find even a restaurant named 'Pakistani restaurant' (not even as footnote) outside Pakistan. India's greatness can not be reduced by such 'Hate lessons' and they can thus be ignored. [27 Dec, 2008 0422hrs IST] Prabhjot,London, says:I remember the two wars of 1965 and 1971. In 1965, our army waited 5 miles off Lahore city for orders to go in, and while our forces had captured key Pass (Nathula or something?) Pakistani radio was broatcasting lies and exagerated claims of Pakistan's victory. We had named this station as Radio Jhutistan. We often made a parody of Pakistani news in our class. Once we (myself and Abhay Krishan, son of Ram Krishan, then Chief Minister of Punjab) got thrown out of the class as our chorus of news got louder and louder in excitement). In 1971, when on one side Gen Niazi was signing surrender of his 90,000 troops to our Gen Arora, a drunk Yahya Khan, then President of Pakistan, was telling his people just the reverse. [27 Dec, 2008 0420hrs IST] arnab, india, says:Thats why we can see Pakistan today almost in the stone age and India in the jet age :-) keep preaching hate Pakis , it will lead to your self destruction [27 Dec, 2008 0417hrs IST] Mohanraj Vattampoil,Kennewick, USA,says:You blame Pakistan for this. Have your at any time faulted the BJP for indoctrinating through textbooks when that Party was in power at the Centre and even after in the States in which they are in power? [27 Dec, 2008 0416hrs IST] Kay P,USA,says:I guess Pakistanis especially Muslims start squirming when terrorism starts being connected to Islam which is very visible in the current form of terrorism around the world. Istead of an introspection on why this is happening and trying to find a solution to it, all they do is go in a state of total denial. It is not only Pakistan but education in most Muslim countries that portrays non-muslims esp Hindus as inferiors having false beliefs. Combined with the creative interpretations of Mullahs and the hadiths it goes on to shape the minds of young muslims who want to establish the rule of Islam in the world. The root cause of terrorism is islamic supremacism rather than anything else. [27 Dec, 2008 0415hrs IST] Mohammad Shakeel,Kuwait, says:I'm a Pakistani and studied in Pakistani University and colleges all my life and have never came across such syllabus which teaches hatred against Indians or Hindus. This article far from reality and does not reflect the actual facts. Pakistani People in general do not hate Indians or Hindus. [27 Dec, 2008 0412hrs IST] rusa,USA,says:What else can you teach to Pakistani Children of Class 5 and 6 and up, when they are all born retarded like their parents? Their educators can write textbooks full of distorted facts with their distorted minds for generations to come. Then a generation will come when Pakistan will cease to exist. They are the species soon going to be extinct like some animals in our earth's wild life. [27 Dec, 2008 0410hrs IST] svb,Kashmir, says:FREE KASHMIR... INDIANS AND PAKIS ARE STUPID... REAL SOLUTION IS INDEPENDENT KASHMIR.. STOP KILLING KASHMIRIS... [27 Dec, 2008 0408hrs IST] Vijay,USA,says:Pakistan was part of India???????????????????? My God!!!!! If this is the standard of education in Pakistan, it is but natural that Pakistani youth turn out be jihadis and terrorists. Its not their fault...they grew by feeding upon hatred on India. The solution is to prove it wrong by inviting more Pakistani kids to India; free or subsidised treatments on health related problems; study tours etc. Its very difficult to change an impression you got when you are young.
