India against Congress !!!

Before 12 months 1 US $ = IND Rs 39
After 12 months, now 1 $ = IND Rs 50

Save the Indian Rupee....
YOU CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE INDIAN ECONOMY BY FOLLOWING FEW SIMPLE STEPS:-

Please spare a couple of minutes here for the sake of India.

Do you think US Economy is booming? No, but Indian Economy is Going Down.

Our economy is in your hands....

INDIAN economy is in a crisis. Our country like many other ASIAN countries, is undergoing a severe economic crunch. Many INDIAN industries are closing down. The INDIAN economy is in a crisis and if we do not take proper steps to control those, we will be in a critical situation.

More than 30,000 crore rupees of foreign exchange are being siphoned out of our country on products such as cosmetics, snacks, tea, beverages, etc... which are grown, produced and consumed here.

A cold drink that costs only 70 / 80 paisa to produce, is sold for Rs.9 and a major chunk of profits from these are sent abroad. This is a serious drain on INDIAN economy.

We have nothing against Multinational companies, but to protect our own interests we request everybody to use INDIAN products only atleast for the next two years. With the rise in petrol prices, if we do not do this, the Rupee will devalue further and we will end up paying much more for the same products in the near future.

What you can do about it?

1. Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.
2. ENROLL as many people as possible for this cause.....

Each individual should become a leader for this awareness. This is the only way to save our country from severe economic crisis. You don't need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate product.

All categories of products are available from WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.

http://www.swadeshi.shreshthbharat.in/swadeshi-videshi/

BUY INDIAN TO BE INDIAN - We are not against of foreign products.

WE ARE NOT ANTI-MULTINATIONAL. WE ARE TRYING TO SAVE OUR NATION. EVERY DAY IS A STRUGGLE FOR A REAL FREEDOM. WE ACHIEVED OUR INDEPENDENCE AFTER LOSING MANY LIVES.
THEY DIED PAINFULLY TO ENSURE THAT WE LIVE PEACEFULLY. THE CURRENT TREND IS VERY THREATENING.

MULTINATIONALS CALL IT GLOBALI ZATION OF INDIAN ECONOMY. FOR INDIANS LIKE YOU AND ME, IT IS RE-COLONIZATION OF INDIA. THE COLONIST'S LEFT INDIA THEN. BUT THIS TIME, THEY WILL MAKE SURE THEY DON'T MAKE ANY MISTAKES.

WHO WOULD LIKE TO LET A "GOOSE THAT LAYS GOLDEN EGGS" SLIP AWAY?

PLEASE REMEMBER: POLITICAL FREEDOM IS USELESS WITHOUT ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE

RUSSIA, S.KOREA, MEXICO - THE LIST IS VERY LONG!! LET US LEARN FROM THEIR EXPERIENCE AND FROM OUR HISTORY. LET US DO THE DUTY OF EVERY TRUE INDIAN.

FINALLY, IT'S OBVIOUS THAT YOU CAN'T GIVE UP ALL OF THE ITEMS MENTIONED ABOVE. SO GIVE UP AT LEAST ONE ITEM FOR THE SAKE OF OUR COUNTRY!

We would be sending useless forwards to our friends daily. Instead, please forward this mail to all your friends to create awareness.

"LITTLE DROPS MAKE A GREAT OCEAN."

PLEASE TRY TO BE AN INDIAN.....

Country of Scams, Scamsters & Scumbags !!!

Where is the Outrage on the loot of several lakh crores Rupees by corrupt Bhaaratiya politicians
One of the main roles of media and the opposition parties is to make sure that government do not squander Tax payers money nor it does loot the public money. But in Bhaaat media is anti Hindu and corrupt. Opposition parties have sold their souls to get some crumbs from the government without doing the job of looking after the interest of the common man and do not even take any interest in the security of the nation. In Bhaarat both media and opposition are dead bodies who never raise voice for the interest of common man and the nation.
Scndal after scandal keep going on unhindered in Bhaarat

Every editor who counts in the English media, pink or white or electronic, pops up in the transcripts...Every editor also understands that you need to meet them to get a fix on the issues. The Radia tapes are instructive textbook material for students of journalism and those of pubic relations, says SEVANTI NINAN.

Unearthing of scams after scams in Bhaarat has dented the reputation of one of the fastest growing economics in the world. Hardly had dust over one scam settled , yet another and bigger scam surfaces. During the past of couple of months, it started with high level corruption in the organization of Common Wealth Games, investigations into which is still going on. Although the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested couple of aides of Organizing Committee Chief Suresh kalmadi, more heads are likely to be eolled soon after tabling the final report .
This followed by Adarsh Society Co-operative Housing society scam in Mumbai, which marred the image of the ruling Congress party, who replaced the CM Ashok Chavan with prithviraj Chavan. All is not wellwith more and more startling reports of bunglings in allotment of houses were still pouring in.
2G Scam
Congress reputation took another beating following unearthing of one of the biggest irregularities in the recent times 2G spectrum allocation scam. If media reports to be believed, the scam stated to be mother of all scams, resulted in a whopping loss of 1.76Lakh Crores to the Exchequer.
While the scandal has gradually generating heat by every passing day, another scam of equally more serious nature has come to lightwhen top officials of several banks , financial institutionsand Life insurance Corporation Housing Finance were arrested and charged with accepting bribes, initially estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars . The CBI has arrested five officials from state run listed lenders, including the chief exective of LIC Housing Finance, accused of bribes to facilitate large corporate loans.
The scandal is one of the biggest to taint Bhaarat, potentially harming the image of Asia’s third largest economy as destination for foreign investors. Three senior executives from a listed private company were also arrested on charges of handing out the bribes. This the 4th big corporation scandal which is linked to the ruling congress party during the past couple of months.
Nuclear Deal of 20 Lak Crores
The India – U.S. nuclear deal was crafted by a cartel of Nuclear businesses in France, Russia, Italy, Japan and U.S. The nuclear cartel that will benefit in billions of dollars from Sales to Bhaarat is nick names J I R A F (Japan Italy Russia America France)
In all more than 100 Nuclear Reactors would be purchased by Bhaarat from JIRAF
Nothing is bought or sold without a huge commission for the decion making politicians in both the parties of sellar and buyer. Ordinary Bhaaratiya people dying to comprehend the mind boggling amounts in 1.5 Lakh Crores of Common Wealth games scams and 1.76lakh crore s 2G Spectrum scam.
Bhaaratiya people now have to comprehend the Areva Scam of 24 Billion dollars amounting to 1 lakh 20,000 crores o Rupees.
15000 Crores Pay Off
President Nicholas Sarkozy of France has got India to sign the contracts of more than 24 Billion Dollars understandably 1 Lakh 20,000 crorees of rupees for 6 Huge Nuclear Pressurised Reactors from the French company Areva SA. The politicians in Bhaarat and France will share the commission of 3 Billion dollars understandably 15,000 Crores of Rupees.
http://www.politicsparty.com/areva_nuclear_deal.php
The exploited and poor people of Bhaarat have already given the following clarion call to the country as a whole.
----------
Ghotala on the top of Ghotala Everyday: Congress marching Ahead with Loot system
Rajasthan's Chief Minister Gahlot assigns 100-acres of land and Jal Mahal to an inexperienced company for a mere sum of Rs. 250 crores, which is appraised at more than 2300 crores. This corrupt foot-toucher Gahlot campaigned in Bihar with sadhu-like sermons. When will the plunder of India end? India is being looted by Sonia and her feet-touchers at an unprecedented pace. Please watch the video:

It is raining scam in India at an alarming rate!
---------
Another Corruption in Congress/ SC chides
Maharashtra Chief Minister and currently Union Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh shielded his money lending relatives from charge sheets, which led to suicides of many farmers in Vidarbha region. Sonia was preaching that BJP can't lecture her on corruption, but she will not agree to a JPC investigation. She has collected a thoroghly corrupt cabinet and enjoys loots together. She has compromised with national security. Her two sisters have received tons of money into their accounts. People are still poor but billions are stashed away in foreign banks by these enemies of India. I don't know much money Sonia needs. These Congressmen will keep on hounding honest administrators like Narendra Modi's, because they don't like honesty in the country. Indian newspapers are subservient to the Nehru dynasty. Sedition, bomb blasts, and hooliganism have taken over the country. Naxalites have taken over part of the country. No neighboring country is friend, but the defence of the country is being neglected and the ministry has been assigned to a Muslim.
Please read today' story.

SONIA CONGRESS HATAO! DESH KO BACHAO!!

FIRANGI DAKAIT STREE KO BHAGAO! DESH KO BACHAO!!

Real Sonia (Antonio Moina) and Rahul are exposed on the Youtube by Swami. Nobody has dared contest these statements. Please familiarize with the rulers of Bharat (two Youtubes on two lines).

The Hindu India’s situation is best explained by an ancient proverb, “A fish rots from the head down.” When the head is putrid, the body politic cannot be healthy. And when those at the helm remain wedded to grand corruption, clerks or traffic police cannot be singled out for taking small bribes.

Let us chase away the foreign female dacoit!
Let us Redeem and Reclaim our country!!
It is time to halt this galloping loot and bring to book the perpetrators of the loot. Whistle-blowers and patriots who have done service to the nation by exposing the looters should receive state protection and their personal liberties should be safeguarded, for they are the heroes of the nation. My abhinandan to them in standing up for the rashtram and protecting dharma. Their service for dharma should be enshrined in the annals of the history of this great civilization.
Individuals are free to follow any faiths in India. But their freedom to walk with a cane ends when it reaches my nose. Sonia's Italian faith may be her private affair. But she is exploiting our freedom, nobility and tolerance to enslave us and make us unfree.

The Great Denial Continues in India. There are several poor Islamic countries in the world. The missionaries have miserably failed to indoctrinate or convert poor Muslims. Only in India poor Hindus are targeted for indoctrination and conversion. Why? Because these poor Hindus are not educated in our traditional culture and religion. And there is no punishment for coercive religious conversion. These innocent people are liberated from their sacred roots and enslaved in rigid, dogmatic dogma. Once these Hindus are converted, they are abandoned for rot. Christians call them rice Christians since they have converted for a bowl of rice or chicken soup.

The pseudo secularists continue to labor under the assumption that Missionaries are free to exploit poverty for conversion. Leftist loonies go on as though these people are freely exercising their freedom. They continue advising Hindus to be tolerant. Mental illness can be amusing.

In truth, phony secularists and leftist loonies are in the pocket books of missionary mafia. What do they have in mind? Hindus are seldom alarmed by high treason, coercive religious conversion and Jihadi terrorism and missionary's grand political schemes. And the uneducated Italian lady has shown her true color in promoting Vatican agenda in India. The bogus anti Hindu congress party has no answer for coercive religious conversion, Islamic terrorism, missionary supported Naxalite violence and Maoist murder mayhem. They call themselves secularists. I would like to label them as FRIENDLY FASCISTS.

WikiLeaks: Congress can stoop to old caste politics, says ex-US Ambassador to India
NDTV Correspondent, Updated: December 11, 2010
New Delhi: There are new revelations from the whistleblower website WikiLeaks. Cables of former US Ambassador David Mulford soon after 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks can send shock waves in the Congress party.
Referring to then Minority Affairs Minister AR Antulay's remarks that ATS chief Hemant Karkare's killing may be linked to his probe of Hindu extremists' hand in Malegaon blasts, and why Congress changed its stance on Antulay's remarks, Mulford said:
"Hoping to foster that support for upcoming national elections, the Congress Party cynically pulled back from its original dismissal and lent credence to the conspiracy. The entire episode demonstrates that the Congress Party will readily stoop to the old caste/religious-based politics if it feels it is in its interest." (Read WikiLeaks cable)

Good things are beginning to happen all over India, and that is, people (Hindus) are finding out how deep India is submerged in the political and religious conspiracies. The electronic media are revealing these conspiracies to the public. Please try to use them widely, since the main-stream media are bribed by the conspirators so much that they are now enslaved, and became a propaganda machine for the conspirators. These conspiracies need to be exposed through a vigorous campaign all over India. The very same situation is prevailing in America also. I see a great parallel between these two countries, and, therefore, hope that Indians will see this parallel, and learn from it, and act appropriately in response to these issues, as American Tea-Party is doing,. I want to see a grass-root movement in India to awaken masses, especially Hindus, to be united under a pure patriotic, non-communal, and non-religious platform, as the Tea-Party movement in America. It pains me to see that India is still ruled by the minority group that has questionable record of patriotism and nationalism, to put it mildly. Jiten Roy

Indians have succeeded in countries ruled by whites, but failed in their own.

The saddest story of the century

I would like to sum up our performance in the 20th century in one sentence.

This outcome would have astonished leaders of our independence movement. They declared Indians were kept down by white rule and could flourish only under self-rule. This seemed self-evident The harsh reality today is that Indians are succeeding brilliantly in countries ruled by whites, but failing
in India . They are flourishing in the USA and Britain .
But those that stay in India are pulled down by an outrageous system that fails to reward merit or talent. Fails to allow people and businesses to
grow, and keeps real power with netas, babus, and assorted manipulators. Once Indians go to white-ruled countries, they soar and conquer summits once occupied only by whites.
Rono Dutta has become head of United Airlines, the biggest airline in the world. Had he stayed in India , he would have no chance in Indian Airlines. Even if the top job there was given to him by some godfather, a myriad netas, babus and trade unionists would have ensured that he could never run it like United Airlines.
Rana Talwar has become head of Standard Chartered Bank, one of the biggest multinational banks in Britain , while still in his 40s. Had he been in
India , he would perhaps be a local manager in the State Bank, taking orders from babus to give loans to politically favoured clients.
Rajat Gupta is head of Mckinsey, the biggest management consultancy firm in the world. He now advises the biggest multinationals on how to run their business. Had he remained in India he would probably be taking orders from some sethji with no qualification save that of being born in a rich family.
Lakhsmi Mittal has become the biggest steel baron in the world, with steel plants in the US , Kazakhstan , Germany , Mexico , Trinidad and Indonesia . India 's socialist policies reserved the domestic steel industry for the public sector. So Lakhsmi Mittal went to Indonesia to run his family's first steel plant there. Once freed from the shackles of India , he conquered the world.
Subhash Chandra of Zee TV has become a global media king, one of the few to beat Rupert Murdoch. He could never have risen had he been limited to India , which decreed a TV monopoly for Doordarshan. But technology came to his aid: satellite TV made it possible for him to target India from Hong Kong . Once he escaped Indian rules and soil, he soared.
You may not have heard of 48-year old Gururaj Deshpande. His communications company, Sycamore, is currently valued by the US stock market at over $ 30 billion, making him perhaps one of the richest Indians in the world. Had he remained in India , he would probably be a babu in the Department of Telecommunications.
Sabeer Bhatia invented Hotmail and sold it to Microsoft for $ 400 million. Victor Menezes is number two in Citibank. Shailesh Mehta is CEO of
Providian, a top US financial services company. Also at or near the top are Rakesh Gangwal of US Air, Jamshd Wadia of Arthur Andersen, and Aman Mehta of Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corp.
In Washington DC , the Indian CEO High Tech Council has no less than 200 members, all high tech-chiefs. While Indians have soared, India has
stagnated. At independence India was the most advanced of all colonies, with the best prospects.
Today with a GNP per head of $370, it occupies a lowly 177th position among 209 countries of the world. But poverty is by no means the only or main problem. India ranks near the bottom in the UNDP's Human Development Index, but high up in Transparency International's Corruption Index.

The neta-babu raj brought in by socialist policies is only one reason for India 's failure. The more sordid reason is the rule-based society we
inherited from the British Raj is today in tatters. Instead money, muscle and influence matter most.
At independence we were justly proud of our politicians. Today we regard them as scoundrels and criminals. They have created a jungle of laws in the holy name of socialism, and used these to line their pockets and create patronage networks. No influential crook suffers. The Mafia flourish
unhindered because they have political links.
The sons of police officers believe they have a licence to rape and kill (ask the Mattoo family). Talent cannot take you far amidst such rank
misgovernance. We are reverting to our ancient feudal system where no rules applied to the powerful. The British Raj brought in abstract concepts of
justice for all, equality before the law. These were maintained in the early years of independence. But sixty years later, citizens wail that India is a
lawless land where no rules are obeyed.
I have heard of an IAS probationer at the Mussorie training academy pointing out that in India before the British came, making money and distributing favours to relatives was not considered a perversion of power, it was the very rationale of power. A feudal official had a duty to enrich his family and caste. Then the British came and imposed a new ethical code on officials. But, he asked, why should we continue to choose British customs
over desi ones now that we are independent?
The lack of transparent rules, properly enforced, is a major reason why talented Indians cannot rise in India . A second reason is the neta-babu
raj, which remains intact despite supposed liberalisation. But once talented Indians go to rule-based societies in the west, they take off. In those
societies all people play by the same rules, all have freedom to innovate without being strangled by regulations.
This, then, is why Indians succeed in countries ruled by whites, and fail in their own.
It is the saddest story of the century.

Atlee: Gandhi’s role in UK decision to leave India was MINIMAL

Atlee: Gandhi’s role in UK decision to leave India was MINIMAL

“..Apart from revisionist historians, it was none other than Lord Clement Atlee himself, the British Prime Minister responsible for conceding independence to India, who gave a shattering blow to the myth sought to be perpetuated by court historians, that Gandhi and his movement had led the country to freedom. Chief Justice P.B. Chakrabarty of Calcutta High Court, who had also served as the acting Governor of West Bengal in India, disclosed the following in a letter addressed to the publisher of Dr. R.C. Majumdar’s book A History of Bengal. The Chief Justice wrote: ‘ My direct question to him (Atlee) was that since Gandhi’s “Quit India” movement had tapered off quite some time ago and in 1947 no such new compelling situation had arisen that would necessitate a hasty British departure, why did they have to leave.

In his reply Atlee cited several reasons, the principal among them being the erosion of loyalty to the British Crown among the Indian army and navy personnel as a result of the military activities of Netaji [Bose].

Toward the end of our discussion I asked Atlee what was the extent of Gandhi’s influence upon the British decision to quit India. Hearing this question, Atlee’s lips became twisted in a sarcastic smile as he slowly chewed out the word, “m-i-n-i-m-a-l!” ” Subhas Chandra Bose, the Indian National Army, and the War of India’s Liberation – Ranjan Borra, Journal of Historical Review, no. 3, 4 (Winter 1982)

…The Indian Army in India is not obeying the British officers. We have recruited our workers for the war; they have been demobilised after the war. They are required to repair the factories damaged by Hitler’s bombers. Moreover, they want to join their kith and kin after five and a half years of separation. Their kith and kin also want to join them. In these conditions if we have to rule India for a long time, we have to keep a permanent British army for a long time in a vast country of four hundred millions. “…I have neither the moral standing nor the slightest desire to disparage the courage of those who engage in non-violence…. But, non-violence, so often recommended.. has never ‘worked’ in any politically relevant sense of the word, and there is no reason to suppose it ever will. It has never, largely on its own strength, achieved the political objectives of those who employed it… There are supposedly three major examples of successful nonviolence: Gandhi’s independence movement, the US civil rights movement, and the South African campaign against apartheid. None of them performed as advertised. The notion that a people can free itself literally by allowing their captors to walk all over them is historical fantasy…”

How to deal with China ???.....Brahma Chellaney

India-China: Let facts speak for themselves
The Prime Minister has underscored concerns over the perceptible hardening in China’s stance towards India. With its defence spending having grown almost twice as fast as its GDP, China is now beginning to take the gloves off, confident that it has acquired the necessary muscle . Rising power is emboldening Beijing to pursue a more muscular foreign policy not just against India, but also in the region extending from the South China Sea to Northeast Asia.

This has been exemplified by several developments — from China’s inclusion of the South China Sea in its ‘core’ national interests, an action that makes its claims to the disputed islands non-negotiable , to its bellicose reaction to the South Korean-US joint anti-submarine exercises in the Sea of Japan. And just the way China has staked its claim to India’s Arunachal Pradesh , it has asserted its sovereignty over Japan’s Senkaku Islands, which were part of Japanese territory all along, even during the US occupation of Japan.

Little surprise then that China’s neighbours are increasingly uneasy about the implications of its growing power. Beijing aspires to shape a Sino-centric Asia, but its actions hardly make it a good candidate for Asian leadership. Leadership can come not from brute force, but from other states’ consent or tacit acceptance.

China’s belligerence, significantly, poses a greater threat for India than for any other Asian nation for several reasons . One, China is mounting both direct military intimidation (as underlined by the abnormally high level of continuing cross-border incursions) and proxy threats against India, including by shoring by its longstanding strategic nexus with Pakistan. Two, the largest real estate China covets is in India.

Arunachal is almost three times bigger than Taiwan. Three, India has no formal security alliance with any other power and thus must depend on its own defence capabilities . And four, by seeking to badger India on multiple fronts, China is signalling that its real, long-term contest is more with India than with the US. The countries around India have become battlegrounds for China’s moves to encircle India . By assiduously courting these countries as proxies in its geopolitical competition with India, China has managed to make deep inroads into India’s strategic backyard — from Sri Lanka to Bangladesh, and Nepal to Burma.

Yet, the world knows more about China’s moves in the South China Sea and East Asia than its actions against India. At international conferences, even some experts on Asia are surprised when told simple facts, such as China’s increasingly assertive claim to an entire Indian state and its cross-border military incursions.

It is now a year since the Indian government put a lid even on the domestic press coverage of the Himalayan border situation. It was in September 2009 that senior government figures, from the PM down, spoke out against the strident Indian media reporting on Chinese border incursions. Since then, sources of information have dried up and newspapers and television networks have carried little news. It is not that the Chinese crossborder forays have ended or even moderated . It is just that Indian media organisations have little information to report, even though the incidence of Chinese incursions remains high.

Suppressing news on the border situation serves no interests other than China’s . It suits the Chinese agenda that the border situation is kept under wraps. Even in the pre-1962 period, India had made the same mistake by playing down China’s aggressive moves along the border. In fact, there are important parallels between the pre-1962 situation and the one now. Border talks have regressed, Chinese claims on Indian territories are becoming publicly assertive and their cross-border incursions are common. In fact, commentaries in military journals suggest that some in China believe that a swift, 1962-style victory in a border war with India is attainable to cut to size a peer rival.

Take another example. It was in June that the Chinese notified their refusal to allow the Indian northern army command chief to visit Beijing. But the Indian side leaked this notification to the press only in late August. It is still unclear what has been India’s response to the snub. Beijing has said flatly that it “has received no word that India has stopped military exchanges between the two countries” .

In the midst of such developments, the Indian external affairs minister gratuitously reiterated on August 21 that Tibet is “part of China” . That the Tibet issue remains at the core of the India-China divide is being underlined by Beijing itself by laying claim to additional Indian territories on the basis of alleged Tibetan ecclesial or tutelary links to them, not any professed Han connection.

There is absolutely no need for India to periodically renew its commitment to a ‘one China’ policy when China not only declines to reciprocally make a ‘one India’ pledge, but also mocks at India’s territorial integrity openly. Little thought has been given that by bringing India’s Tibet stance in complete alignment with China’s , New Delhi has undercut its own leverage while boosting China’s .

Without contributing to the rising tensions with China, India has to gently allow facts to speak for themselves — whether on the border situation, Tibet’s centrality or China’s overt refusal to accept the territorial status quo. Facts indeed are an anathema even to schoolyard bullies. By not hiding its intent to further redraw the frontiers, Beijing only highlights the futility of political negotiations . After all, a major redrawing of frontiers has never happened at the negotiating table in world history.

India should learn how Vietnam has managed to turn the diplomatic tables on China by not shying away from spotlighting the latter’s aggressive designs. In the process, China stood isolated at the last Asean Regional Forum meeting.

A stable equation with China is more likely to be realised if India puts premium on leveraged diplomacy and avoids a trans-Himalayan military imbalance. More broadly, China’s trajectory will depend on how its neighbours and distant countries like the US manage its growing power. Such management — independently and in partnership — will determine if Chinese power does not slide into arrogance.

‘India's timid response to Kargil resulted in terror strikes’

by Samirajan on 16 Nov 2009, New Delhi

New Delhi India's ‘timid’ response to the Pakistani military ingress in Kargil in 1999 has been blamed by a retired Army General for the series of terrorist strikes beginning with the attack on Parliament in 2001.

He has also come down heavily on the country's then political, executive and military leadership -- Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Defence Minister George Fernandes, Army chief General V P Malik and IAF chief Air Chief Marshal A Y Tipnis -- for not standing up to the challenge.

"Our (NDA's political and military leadership's) timid response at Kargil, laid the foundation for future terrorist attacks on India, starting with the attack on the Indian Parliament," former Deputy Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant

General Harwant Singh says in an article in the coming edition of the Indian Defence Review. Apart from the wasteful troop mobilisation at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore after the terror strike on Parliament House, India was paying, literally and figuratively, large sums on strengthening NSG, Coast Guard and police after the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, all because of the dithering during Kargil operations, he says.

Our Generals of the Army are confusing the Public. Some Generals, especially the retired ones say that our Army is illequipped to fight China or Pakistan. Some Generals in service say that we would give a fitting reply to the aggressors. What is the real position?

The simple truth by Hero Vaz on 16 Nov 2009

The General has put it well. Gutlessness pervades through all Indian government actions and reactions. Has India ever been assertive in anything? It is no wonder China and Pakistan are wiping their shoes on India and the US notices India in passing. In no world forum does India take a bold stand and make itself felt. The putrid leadership is to blame for this. As a result, 1.2 billion people in the country have a disgustingly low rating in the world.

truth lies somewhere else by amit on 16 Nov 2009

truth is inthefact thwt we are hypocrates. If we believe in secularism, why we agreed to have a country on base of religion, and allow lakhs of indian suffer in Pakistan on name of religion?fact is we had surrendered inm 1947 against religious zealots. They are curse on humanity nad they are making every pakistani( indian)Suffer. since they have got a country on basis of hatred, they have only one strength with them i.e. hatred. They have no national idemntity, they have no sense of belonging, because if they develop it then their fanatic struggle of creating pakistan will become meaningless. so for their survival, they are to keep the flame of hatred, which created the nation of pakistan, alive till the time they can afford. we are to realise this truth at home as well as across the border, or pretend to be peaceloving and compromising and get thousands wounds to bleed till eternity

It's a well disguised attempt by UPA to shift blames to their predecessor... by Anand Guru on 16 Nov 2009

I bet this is a well disguised attempt of UPA to shift the blames of their failures to their predecessors. Everybody knows that UPA's performance in their previous stint was horrible as far as tackling the issue of terrorism was concerned. India faced more terrorist attacks in last 5-6 years not because of Kargil or Tashkent but simply because UPA virtually enticed them to come and attack by removing the only existing deterrence we had namely POTA - in the name of vote-bank politics. And not before the attack on Mumbai on 26/11 shook the nation (forget about countless others which preceded 26/11) they realized their mistake and hurriedly got together to enact a renamed version of POTA again. Now coming to Kargil - this war deserves a special mention in modern history. No nation has fought a war in 20th or 21st century with so much restraint and has still achieved the desired results. Somebody has rightly pointed out that even a full-blown war wouldn't have fetched us this result!

India unaware of Pak as the most dangerous enemy by Samir on 16 Nov 2009

The problem is that Indians are not aware of how much enemy of thiers is this terrorist Pakistan till 26 Nov 2008. Before that from Indias side only appeasement and wooing went on to this terrorist Pakistan. It was a Pak strategy to hold so called peace talk between India and Pak while 26/11 was being performed. Some so called Pseudo-intellectuals in India at first mentioned that, while Indo-Pak "peace talk" was going on this 26/11 happened, hinting Pak is good but West is bad. This is the Indian Public Opinion of Cunning and terrorist Pakistan by Indians. In fact Indians are so much confined top their internal affairs that they are not aware of who their most dangerous external enemy is.

Indian leadership's sickening inertia problem by rishi parekh on 16 Nov 2009

The Indian army general's point that a weak response to Kargil by India led to a series of terrorist attacks on the country is a valid one. Let us remind ourselves that for almost two years leading up to 26/11 attacks, India had been hit by terrorist attacks practically every two months resulting in many, many deaths. Still, Manmohan Singh did not move against the home minister Patil, who would show up in hospitals in "sympathy" for the bereaved in impeccable suits. I started out as a strong Manmohan Singh supporter, but now have strong reservations about him as an effective PM. His coalition received a good mandate in the recent general election, which his government could have used to move forward with economic reform legislation with urgency. But nothing has happened. There is talk of "we will do this and that reform" but things do not move forward with speed. The political system is sick and suffers from inertia. Meanwhile, Pakis and others exploit India's weaknesses.

Kargill;response by Brigadier Ashok Joshi(Retd) on 16 Nov 2009

It is unfortunate that to sell a book the author wishes to blame his comrades. The then COAS,Army Cdr,Corps Cdr and others did whatever was possible to give reply to the intrusion which had taken place. You could not have taken steps to have the matter escalated to war like situation. But the question still remains as why nobody was sacked for the intrusion which remained undetected? I wish the author has highlighted this,as i have no desire to read this book as he has been writing on every subject with which he had no association.

Nehru's role in literally "creating" the China problem. c. The need for continuing article 370. Do not mind, the timing of and the delay in your reaction, make your intentions suspect. Do have political ambitions but in the process, plz do not malign or attempt to disgrace the other political side. Kindly do not politicize the defence aspects. What is this General commenting ? No Indian would buy his argument that all the terrorist attacks that happened in India was because of the so-called "timid approach" to the Kargil attacks. In fact General Musharaff was forced to make a shameful surrender to our brave jawans. Where is the correlation between Kargil and the subsequent terror attacks ? In fact, the terror attacks would have been more otherwise.

The General's comments are unrealistic and uninformed. He should know that the government has to take many factors into consideration, including the international community. It is foolish to think by any sane mind that with US interests in Pakistan and US forces sitting in there, America would have allowed India to beat up Pakistan.

The mobilazation of troops after the attack on Parliament. and the kargil encounter was push back of the terrorists, and Pak army. We just managed to push them back from our door step. All for political macho image creating. It was punctured by the Kandhar surrender. NDA govt never recovered that image again. Propoganda tried to create a paper victory of Kargil. Churchill said, of the escape of the British army from France, after the fall of France, "Do not clothe this escape with attributes of Victory"

The 1000 character limit is irritating. The Pakis have been prejudiced against India since beginning. How this happened is another chapter. But what is true is that they hate us for no valid reason. They think that it is their birthright to damage India. To satisfy this animal instinct, they can go to any in-human extent. Hate-India is theri reason of existence. If they lose this reason/ motivation they will not know what to do. India has failed to increase their cost for adopting such a line. Hence our people are suffereing. We want their players to play in IPL. Sharad Pawar say, India will welcome Pakistani players in Mumbai if they qualify for final of World Cup!!!. Have we lost senses. Timid response for 60 years: Part-1 by Raj on 16 Nov 2009

That's absolutely true. What kind of Rajputs, Sikhs, Marathas and other warrior clans are we, that we have given no befitting response to Pakis over the past 60 years. Musharraf, had once remarked that "Indians are incapable of reacting". He was right. I don't know, whether it is our strength or our bane. The Paki policy is clear and it is like this. They will never let go of the terror card inflict damage to India, come what way. There thinking is that they should never compromise on their strengths. As per them the Terror-factories represent a unique competence which hardly anyone in the world can replicate. Also they will continue to keep the pressure of terrorist strike on with the terror acts suitable spaced in time and space. They will never let the pressure reduce. The Kashmir issue is a ruse to continue this behaviour. It is foolish for Indians to even think of talking to Pakis. They don't understand this language.

And the man they released for hostages who is responsible for the attacks!!! Would Roy give his family up as hostage in exchange for the passengers? Indian donkeys who beat their chest calling themselves nationalist but would not go to the front line themselves. Israel is a miserable country that dont exchange for hostages (they will for galit) but can India do it? What would those who lost loved one feel? And if Saeed was not released do you think the organisation would be dead??? somebody would come up and attack India. Roy u should offer yourself in exchange for any hostage in future. you probably will run like a mouse at the sound of gunfire.

Truth is beautiful but hard to know--- by romesh.sharma on 16 Nov 2009

Mr Chilukuri,Kargil wasn't mere terror-attack but a well planned and silent and surprise invasion on our country. The response of India wasN#t timid but of hesitation and elayed because of terrain and absolutely unexpected on-slaught.To tackle that kind of situation it does need time, especially under that kind of circumstances. Not to write much one must first research and read all about Kargil War before calling it Timid. There is enough material available in internet. This action was of much greater success and honour than 71.Youth not willing to join DefenceForces has nothing to do with Kargil or other Wars/border conflicts but its nepotism and corruption in recruitment system which is demoralizing. There are plenty young men and women who have the craving to join and serve the Nation but its very rare these true people really get some chance to be in uniform. The other factor is possibly vast difference of pay-scale between Officer and ordinary soldier;and ofcourse poor equipments.A fine and supportive uniform and equipment gives high spirits anf boosts the morale of every soldier.I was soldier and would like to be again one if reborn in India or if asked even now for I feel born to serve my nation.

US the wrong place to go to talk about Pak terror

By Dr. Jay Dubashi

The Chinese fooled even Nehru, for, he called all such incursions cartographic aggressions-Nehru was a master of words, for didn’t he spend time in Eton and Cambridge, where such words are coined?-meaning they were no problems at all and not worth fighting over. The Chinese didn’t think so. They may have invented paper two thousand years ago, but they have more faith in their armies than that in their fancy paperwork.

Our friend, Home Minister P Chidambaram is back from the US after reporting to his bosses over there that Pakistan is not behaving properly and India is deeply dissatisfied with progress of ‘investigations" into 26/11 supposed to be conducted by Pakistan. Read that sentence again and you will start laughing. Firstly, it was the Home Minister who was reporting to Washington, not the Foreign Minister. Now, why should a home minister, or any minister for that matter, report to anyone outside the country? Are we a colony of the United States? Do we have to report to them every now and then as the Viceroy used to do to 10 Downing Street from time-to-time when we were indeed a colony?

Then comes the bit about investigations. Who says that Pakistan is conducting investigations? The Pakistan government’s writ does not run beyond a few miles outside Islamabad. How long since we had any news about Asif Ali Zardari, who is supposed to be Pakistan’s President? Is he still alive, maybe reading that book about Jinnah by his favourite author, or has he been bumped, as most Pakistani presidents are? And if he is out of action, who exactly has taken his place?

The fact is that if Chidambaram was in the US to complain about Pakistan, he went to the wrong place. Pakistan, the little bit that still exists on paper, and America are allies, and have been allies ever since the birth of that country. The two allies collaborate closely on everything from nuclear energy to missiles, and while Pakistan pretends to fight the terrorists, America pretends to believe it is really doing so. America has had bases in Pakistan for the last 50 years and will continue to do so till kingdom come. And currently it provides a big base for their forces in Afghanistan.

In fact, Barack Obama has realised that he has lost the fight in Afghanistan and the American people are tired of sending their young men to fight all over the world from where they return home in caskets. They do not know why they are fighting in Afghanistan just as they did not know why they were fighting in Vietnam. The Vietnam war was over long before it was officially declared closed and so is the Afghan war. Actually, almost the whole of Afghanistan is now under the Taliban, except a few bits around Kabul and it is a matter of time before that falls too.

When Chidambaram goes to Washington to complain against Pakistan, he will be complaining to the wrong party, for, as I said, Pakistan is an ally of America, and nothing happens in Pakistan without the knowledge of the United States. I am quite sure Washington has a copy of the list of complaints he has taken with him. America is not a neutral party in the affair; it is very much involved in everything that is happening in Pakistan. If Chidambaram does not know this, he has a great deal to learn, just as he had a great deal to learn about finance when he became Finance Minister. If Chidambaram is so keen on the Washington trip, let him have one, but let him not pretend that he is doing anything useful. The Americans in the State Department, or to whoever he will be reporting, will be laughing behind his back and saying under their breath what a foolish lot Indians are, as our minister goes from office to office asking for a hearing.

Then there is another colleague of Chidambaram’s in the cabinet, the so-called Minister of External Affairs, so-called because we rarely hear about him, and who, one would have thought, would be doing what Chidambaram proposes to do. But SM Krishna, that is what his name is in case you do not know, seems to be the least informed Foreign Minister in this part of the world. He told reporters in Delhi that the India-China border is the most peaceful around India and our relations with China have never been friendlier.

You can say that again. Krishna feels that China’s incursions into India-and this is what our air force has said in so many words-are no incursions at all and in any case, there is a committee of experts to look into such problems. "I don’t think", said the man who is more interested in his wardrobe than in the goings-on in Ladakh, or wherever it is that the Chinese are massing, and called for his tailor to stitch another band-gala for his next outing in, where else, Venezuela.

If small-time committees could tackle problems of incursions, you would not need armies and navies at all. All wars start when nations intrude, often with their armies, into other nations’ backyards. This is how the Second World War started. Right up to the start of the war, Neville Chamberlain was saying that everything was under control, that all committees, to tackle border disputes were in place, and everybody could switch off lights and go to sleep. Incidentally, Chamberlain was fond of natty suits too, except that they were of the wrong cut, just like Krishna’s suits!

Actually it was Chamberlain, like Krishna, who was going to sleep, while Hitler was cooking up maps and alerting his cronies. Krishna is basically a babu; he thinks that all problems can be solved if you have proper files with proper notings and nothing can go wrong as long as the files are there. And that is precisely what Krishna is saying. He says that there are proper border dispute committees with a joint secretary, a deputy secretary and maybe a couple of peons, and as long as they have not reported anything, everything is fine. And if the Chinese are really intent on creating trouble, they will first inform the committee-in triplicate-and then we shall see what to do.

They came over the Himalayas, firing from all sides, and in no time at all, had Nehru running for cover, looking for help. And there was no trace of the border committees and, of course, Nehru’s faithful but useless servant, Krishna Menon.

We have another Krishna who operated from Maurya Sheraton at a cost of Rs one lakh per day, and he is going about mumbling the same nonsense. Surely, the least Manmohan Singh can do is get another foreign minister and send this Maurya Krishna back to wherever he came from!

Incursion indicates China's unease over India's rise: US Experts & Also Publicś Opinion On Public Platform

A US think-tank has said that China’s recent aggression on Indian border is direct result of Beijing’s "nervousness over India's rise."

"Well, I think China is becoming increasingly nervous about India's rise. It's something that they have to deal with that perhaps 10-15 years ago they didn't believe was something that was necessary to focus on," said Lisa Curtis of the Heritage Foundation.

We saw this when they to tried scuttle at the last minute, the civil nuclear deal at the Nuclear Supplier Group meeting last year and so that was sort of an indication that China is not completely comfortable with India's rise on the world stage," said Curtis.

Recently, two soldiers of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were reportedly injured in firing from across the border on the Line of Actual Control in Arunachal Pradesh.

India, however, denied that two of its border guards were injured in firing by Chinese forces.

Curtis said both the sides were mutually mistrustful of each other on the border issue.

"The border issue has lingered for a long time and I think both sides created mistrust on both sides. Perhaps since China is dealing with its internal issue, it has not been interested in completely resolving the border issue but that said. I do not think so either side is interested in any kind of conflict. But I do not see the negotiation moving forward either," Curtis added.

India and China fought a short war in 1962 and, despite burgeoning trade in recent years, mistrust remains.

The two countries have faced off at multi-lateral forums, including Chinese objections to a 60 million dollar Asian Development Bank loan for a project in Arunachal Pradesh.

Reports of Chinese "incursions" have become more frequent of late.

Army launches annual maintenance of forward posts

The Indian Army has launched a massive effort at strengthening forward posts along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, which they described as "routine."

The effort, aimed at operational alertness and kick-started this week, comes at this time annually just before the weather gets worse during winters.

"Nothing much should be attached to this effort, which is carried out annually for maintenance of the forward posts before the weather makes it impossible. This is a matter of routine," Army sources said.

The effort will go on for a month and for the purpose, the Army has employed about half of its strength posted along the 4,057-km-long LAC in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh in active duty, they said.

This maintenance effort comes at a time when there have been reports of incursions by Chinese troops in Chumar region of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir where they brought in a military helicopter to air-drop food cans and painted Mandarin letters on some of the stones to lay claim to the territory.

These incursions, the Army had said, were "nothing unusual" due to differing perceptions of LAC on both sides.

Other media reports of Chinese fighter jets violating Indian airspace and firing at ITBP jawans in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh in the last three months have been denied by the government.

But the basic things, to prove to the people, that India Govt. looks and is caring for its people, that is not yet conveyed to the people of India. Just protest with media, is not the answer at all. Its better for india to stop this hysteria against china and manage its own infrastructure. The chinese are hard working and china is atleast twenty years ahead of india in development, the only thing they lack is the language but by 2020 china will be the country with maximum number of english speakers, check the statistics if you do not agree with me. By then india will not exist in its current form or break into pieces.

Never trust the Chinese.By: Venkat | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 13:45:24 PM Reply | Forward One thing should be clear to our Mandarins in New Delhi. Never trust the Chinese or the Pakistanis and we should make it a state policy to initiate steps to undermine their authority wherever possible-Both within india and in their own countries. At the end of the day we may trust the Americans, the Russians and the French but not the Chinese. Let us not forget the way they tried to scuttle the Nuclear Agreement, their influence in India through the Communist Party of India, their massive support to the Naxalite groups in India, the support they have given to Pakistan and the war in '62. Our government should do its best to develop the North East to counter Chinese influence or risk losing the entire area to the 'Red Terror'.

In African continent it secured energy supplying deals with poor countries. India's Political class (both Ruling Party and Opposition Parties)is most selfish and has ensured that India remains isolated on the World map. USA is most untrustworthy country as a friend to any country. There history provess they USE and ABUSE nations. India has poor relations with Russia. India has no small or big nation as a true friend of any influence or capacity. China will attack India Militarily and we will suffer the defeat of 1962. Indian Army is superior than ChineseBy: Boby Mehta | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 13:13:12 PM Reply | Forward The fact is that a army with three million troops is useless against a small, mobile and well trained and dedicated army. Take the case of Israel, only 300,000 Israeli troops decimated the combined forces of Arabs in 1967 and has never lost a war. It is no use shaking in the boots, the combined strenght of Indian army (only army) is nealy 1.7 millions plus other para military forces. Indians are far more better trained and equipment of India is superior than Chinese. India can give a fitting reply to Chinese, it has not been made public but in 1967 (?) Indian army cut Chinese to their size at Nathu La. The only trouble is Indian political gutlessness and cowardice.

Mischief MongrersBy: Iquebal Ahmed | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 12:49:23 PM Reply | Forward These yankees are real mischief mongreres. They can create discontent between any two countries of the world for their own selfish gains. The reality is that we cannot match the Chinese in any of the field they have excelled. They have already produced a single dose vaccine for swine flue. They are only next to 'NOWARTIS' in doing so. Now tell me what our scietists are doing? Sleeping over swine flue? The entire world watched the Chinese with awe the way they produced the infrastructure and conducted Olympic games. At present we are finding it hell of a job to conduct paltry Commonwealth games. These are only two small examples to prove their supremacy over all other Asian countries. Beware of Yankee dogs!
No paki trolls allowed hereBy: BP | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 13:20:46 PM Reply | Forward All we have to beware of are Pakis like you coming to our forum to troll. The US si our friend and ally now much to the disdain of you pakis. All China has done is to steal western technology and make copies. Their economic rise is purely due to stupid western countries who invested there and set up manufacturing. It is the export from these units that keeps the Chinese employed.

Mischief MongrersBy: Jayadevan | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 13:13:17 PM Reply | Forward If Soviet Union can be dissolved, China too will be disintegrated into China, Tibet and Xingjiam(?). It is just a matter of time. Now regarding your statement "we cannot match the Chinese in any of the field they have excelled", tell me where India is not matching. China's success is mainly due to population control and single party system. Chinese have one child family system. How many in India will agree to that policy. On that day, India can surpass US, forget about china. Also, politicians in India are also equally responsible. In spite of all these adversities, India achieved this much growth rate. Fianlly, you dont have to be very much proud of Chinese system. In China, some religious people cannot offer prayers even during their holy months. All world, including "Yankees" allows that.

Chinese incursionBy: Jose Sebastian | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 12:32:58 PM Reply | Forward China has off and on intruding into Indian territory and later denying it and this has been the case for long. Of late they are uneasy about our increasing clout and acceptability as a regional power and has resorted to bullying like a school bully who need to be tackled.Looking the other way with the Chinese will be at a great cost for India and history should have taught us bitter lessons. If we remain on hibernation and denying incursions, it will only encourage the dragon to further provoke us and make us on the defensive. We should at least have the means to stand up to the chinese otherwise, we will increasingly have to deal with their aggressive intentions every now and then as their claim on our territory is never ending.

Nationalism should drive our development in Ladakh and NE StaesBy: Anil Gupta | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 12:08:29 PM Reply | Forward Sir, When China was building airports and laying railways deep inside Tibet our leaders were sleeping. When they were building peripheral roads we were sleeping. When they were surrounding our naval boundaries we were sleeping. This has been the general trend of our rulers particularly of Nehru clan. We do not have a long term national perspective in our defence perspective or national vision to safeguard our long-term national interest. It was PV Narsimha Rao who had declared that the area in Indian Ocean is ours and we can not allow any other power to interfere in our area of influence. But unfortunately neither NDA nor UPA-1 or UPA-2 has shown such alacrity in dealing with China. We should develop Ladakh much faster than at present. Similarly Arunachal, Sikkim and other north eastern states be developed rapidly to combat Chinese show of strength through its development of Tibet or other areas adjoining our borders because that affects the morale of our people.

Through the mind of Chinese-2.By: Prabhudayal | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 12:01:30 PM Reply | Forward Indian economy is not any meaningful threat to Chinese, if the numbers alone are a consideration. But, there is a vast difference between the two economies, and how they are basically structured. Chinese richness is tied to trade excess with US and western nations. They have borrowed so much from China, that it is staggering. That number most likely exists only on paper, as the printed currency is recycled back in west. It is certain that that kind of debt can never be payed back in the same form and kind, as the west lacks the urgency for earth destroying mindset to balance the books. Lacking any other acceptable alternative, world has no choice except to live with the same order. If this order fails, and it would and logically should at some point in future, India would gain enormous advantage over China overnight. This natural progression can only be altered militarily; but the price could be unfathomable to the Chinese, as they may be counting pennies for a millenia.
There is more to it than meets the eye...Contd/-By: Sreenivasan Raju Aiyer | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 11:59:55 AM Reply | Forward Contd.../-Chinese Engineers who successfully completed the Three Gorges Dam across the river Yangtze generating 22000 MW of power have reached the implementation stage of this more ambitious project. Here, they are planning to divert the flow of Brahmaputra towards the Chinese North. In order to bring about this artificial turn in the flow of a giant river like Brahmaputra nothing short of a nuclear implosion would do. So that is what they are planning to do in the last quarter of 2010.Before that they would like to have the entire area of India’s North-East in general or the Arunachal Pradesh in particular under their geographic control so that any opposition to their selfish plans from its neighbour(s) can be silenced by this posture of sabbre-rattling across our borders! China even from its imperialist days is expansionist in nature. Their gobbling up of Tibet, eastern Kashmir (Aksai Chin), Xingjian in the past should serve as an eye-opener for the civilized world.

What India may doBy: Arun | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 11:55:02 AM Reply | Forward Chinese incursion is the result of many factors. These may be (i) Frustration due to India's progress. China commented with a mood of jealousy on our success in Chandrayan, (ii) China is basically a country to grab more land. This is reflected in their action on Tibet. India's closeness to Dalai Lama is pinch for China. That does not mean we should avoid Dalai Lama. (iii) India is a big competitor for chinese market. Inferior quality Chinese drugs were sold under Indian name. There are many other factors also. Now India must develop the eastern sector to beautiful spots for tourist attraction. These will solve many problems.
Chinese are underdogs!!!By: Atamjeet Singh Bhatia | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 11:50:59 AM Reply | Forward Chinese are better than Indians in power and technology. They also know all the ways to fight a battle. They are creating problems in North by somewhere placing stone embedded with chinese language and somewhere else misguiding india of there false intrusion. I think India must relaize that china may attach india on some other front like Arunachal pradesh or else. This may help India to build a strong army at other places as well.
Indian submissiveness is disasterBy: sanjay | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 11:46:16 AM Reply | Forward It is increasingly scary and worrisome, that the indian govt has no concrete understanding of foreign affairs and issues. They treat countries as "friends". China is no ones friend! The only language china will understand is the language of force and might. What is wrong with our stupid leaders??? They are stupid, thats whats wrong! Indian leaders through from history keep repeating the same mistakes again and again. We are invaded, brutalised, bashed (like in australia) and humiliated world over. Can we move out of this "chalega or sab theek ho jayega attitude"? Here is a simple soln to deal with the chinkies: 1.Get ISRO and DRDO to immediately manufacture and deploy a 100 nuclear tipped ICBMs at Chinese cities. 100 nuclear missiles at Pakis. Another 50 ICBMS at US, UK, Aus, Europe. Projection of might is the only language that the modern world understands and give india the much needed respect that it deserves. 2) Recruit another 600 million soldiers.
Through the mind of Chinese.By: Prabhudayal | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 11:43:53 AM Reply | Forward What goes through the mind of chinese is most important. This article is indeed well written. Chinese have many alarms coinciding simultaneously. The rise of Indian economy and science, civic downfall and anarchy in it's 'arch-friend' Pakistan which has been supported at all costs to weigh down India, and it's internal unrest in key populations at the borders. Chinese in east have been blessed with plenty through millenia; and the only sustainable resistance to their empirehood has been religion, as it flourished in harsh and remote areas which rose to ferocious power relatively briefly during their favourable times. Only by crushing religion, which is a symbol of organised resistance to the chinese, they can claim everlasting victory (did many times !!). Current chinese aggression may be a deep itch for a masterstroke, that would bring Tibetans forever to their knees. It is time to involve Russia and US into the equation as stakeholders;as any other chinese goals seem unchinese.
China is our natural enemyBy: VIMAL JOSHI | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 11:40:46 AM Reply | Forward Actually China had never stopped to disturbe India and never it will. Actually, there are some relations which are made naturally opposite to person or state and since begining they are such that if even try enormously to track them on road but they are such that they never happend to any good, as it is destined not to happen. The same is with China, Pakistan etc. It will never happen that these countries will be our friend ever and will be in peace with us. If we think so we are a very big fool. China,Pakistan and America have never been good to us, as it was Russia - our reliable friend. At first it did opening war directly, secondly with the help of Pakistan and now is the time to do the deeds with little mixture. China is joining against us with each and every of our neighbours and will never be our friend. So we have to help ourselves by not taking mild decisions against any thing that is against our country at any rate, pace, time and matter. We must not live in oblivion.JAI HIND
Congress 'Bad Luck For India'By: wiser | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 11:40:23 AM Reply | Forward While there are reports of chinese intrusion poping up increasingly by the length of day , the downplay from the govt is awe struck. Two possiblities , one the govt keen to disguise the eastern neighbour and meanwhile try to fill the backlog of the detterent on NE border . Second one to disguise its own poeple while soldiers are being shot at by PLA. The second would be catastrophic for India and there is not much reason not to beleive that. The history of congress and its policy makers are supportive of that. They coined "HINDI CHINI BHAI BHAI" when china was rolling tanks in Assamese plains. Such is the pathetic policy of congress, result of which we have pakistan claiming on ICT(Indian controlled Kashmir) while it already has POK on west and China controlling 1/3 of Kasmir as Aksai Chin and laying claims over entire Arunanchal pradesh in addition to Sikkim. Congress never woke up from the dreams of being champions of non-violence.

Action not Reaction !By: Thomas Sarasam | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 11:12:49 AM Reply | Forward Chineese or Bangaladeshis or whoever! Our Border security policy should not depend on who is intruding from where ? It should rather be at the best interests of the people of India. Best interests as in Safetly and security, financially, poilitically, culturally and of course physcially. Sealing the borders and using BSF, ITBF and other similar forces to patrol Stringently is the only solution to this menace.
Easy method to circumvent the chinese By: Indo Canadian | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 11:10:01 AM Reply | Forward It is easy to circumvent the Chinese. Develop a super city in the east from the ground up to act as the regions Mumbai or Dehli, this will increase development in the region and solidify Indian claim to the land. It's one thing sending your soldiers into a wasteland or a jungle and painting a few rocks, but it is impossible to make the same statement by sending your soldiers into a city.

Chinese IncursionsBy: VR Venugopal Rao | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 10:48:15 AM Reply | Forward There is no use of blaming incursions. Prevention is better than cure. India should build up more Armed Forces along borders and concentrate on developing North east states on par with other states. Armed forces should play dual role both as a Security Agency and also as a Contributor to Development of Areas like Border Roads Organisation. Huge Investements are made in Infrastructure mainly on Highways. There are many areas in North east which do not have access to Roads which is the main reason for rising insurgency in North starting from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur etc. Incursions are also happening from Bangladesh which are not coming to light. West Bengal has highest Migration from Bangladesh due to language coincidence and becomes difficult for the security agencies to detect these people. Seal the Borders, maintain highest vigil, there is high rate of unemployment, youth can be recruited in large numbers for protecting the borders.

Chinese IncursionsBy: Binod kumar | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 12:13:54 PM Reply | Forward Chinese Threat is real. We should strenghthen our Army with more powerful equipments at a much faster speed. It is important we deploy immediately Agni missiles with 5000 KM range fitted with Nuclear Bombs. We immediately start developing Missiles with 7000 KM range. We buy Nuclear submarines atleast 15-20 in numbers. We buy and deploy a minimum of 200 nos.Sukhoi and F16 or Eurifighter , at Eatern Borders. 1000 Nos.T-90's Tanks and Anti-missiles systems in suffucient nos. All these are not very dificult, provided we have will and all Political parties cooperate.I believe, after this preparedness China will forget to even blink. Next target should be that in case of war, we should be in position to recapture our lost land.
How come !By: chanakya | Thursday , 17 Sep '09 10:41:17 AM Reply | Forward The entire world has witnessed the incursion by the pygmies but why Indian govt wants to ignore and argue that nothing has happened. Is it a strategy or weakness ? Chinese are the last population to be believed . They have shown what they are in Pandit Nehru times and I don't think any of the present generation leaders can come any where near to those generations in policy making. The dragon must be hunted and kept at bay. Else it will devour what ever it comes on its way. Instead of enjoying joy rides it is time for some stren action along the borders. It would be interesting to know the reactions of some of the prestigeous new papers who day in day out support the dragon on all counts.

How to handle China?...Public Platform !

Zopag News Network
Now, it’s the time to act. It’s enough and India should not take it lying down. India’s prestige is at stake and we just can’t be bullied by China anymore.

It’s indeed shocking and daring on the part of a Chinese strategist who asserted that India should be broken into 20 to 30 independent states with the help of the ‘friendly countries’ like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.

We need to remind these Chinese that India has come a long way since 1962. The message needs to be sent loud and clear. India needs to have a well-planned strategy to counter the evil designs of China. We need to be pro-active and must consider all possible options to thwart any aggression on the part of the Chinese.

India would do well to corner China globally. We should weigh the pros and cons of whatever action we might contemplate against China.

Zopag.com asks its readers: What to do with China?

1) Align with America and try to isolate China globally

2) Use Dalai Lama and Tibet issue to keep China in check

3) Diplomatically isolate China

4) Boycott Chinese products

5) Take Chinese human rights violations to the UN

6) Talk to China, but be firm.

Chinese threat by Gireesh on 2009-08-13 00:00:00
I feel a combination of the above stated action points should be put together to evolve a broad strategy. China's advantage with respect ot other countries lies in its massive economic strength which is fuelling its military upgradation. India will have to improve its economy. But this will not be enough. We need to form a string of alliances with countries like Japan , Australia and even vietnam. Then we should have a strategic alliance with USA. All these steps will be opposed tooth and nail by China's proxies in India, but we have to push on regardless. We should also allow private participation in our defence industries.

First and formost we need to reliaze that no one is going to fight our wars. So, we should stop relying and worrying about any Tom, Dick and Harry comming from US and other westeren nation and saying some thing on Kashmir or other. Who gives a damn who says what, we should Think, Act and Do the right thing for India, and not woory about other. In this not only Indian Governmet but also indian media are so obsessed with west, that they carry 24-hr news. why do we care e if some third rate actor in USA marryies or divorces in USA, it is reported in Inida. Do they even know who Amitabh is in west. If they don't care to know why do we? Why do we have such complexion. The moment we reliaze this and act no one can stop us.

Burma, Lanka, Pak, Tibet... should be one country BHARAT under AN ABLE STRONG LEADER that could KICK THE ARSE OF ANGREZ AND CHINA . Coming to caste stuff that China is blabbering, the aboriginal Indians were one race/family, they had no problem with one brother being Brahmon, other being Ksatriya (guard), other taking care of cleaning and last family member being trades person. Caste was all about sharing work in community of Aborginals Hodoos. THEN CAME OUTSIDERS, they only wanted to join certain professions/caste, this is when the frictions happened. Caste was never bad when aborginal native indians practiced it. SO CHINESE BANKS ITS KNOWLEDGE on Angrezi divisive mindset on caste, religion, etc. India should not be shoved into chinese face to save Angrez. By recognizing Taiwan as a country and establishing full deplomatic relationship with Taiwan India will not only hit China where it hurts most but will also secure trust of largest foreign investor in China. Over 50% of large companies in China are owned by Taiwanese. India should focus on taking this valuable asset out of China and bring them over to India.

Every one is entitled to an opinion and so does China. They will think in their national interest and so must we. The point is if they do try anything, what is the leverage that India has or does not have to prevent such a calimity. For proxy war: India must develop resources within china that must be sleeper cells which will create havoc in case of a go ahead from their handlers here. For Full scope war: One of the biggest ve learning of the cold war was mutually assured destruction. India should scale its capabilities to ensure china does not survive if India is at risk. we can all be naive and imagine we are as powerful as china , but we are not. may be in some fields we are ahead and in some we are not , but ultimately money counts and china is way ahead of us, so in peace time working on building counter measure assets is the best bet to keep our enimies at bay. And unfortunately this cant be done overnight !!

There are several things india must do as a nation to counter chinese agression. 1.Put claim on Tibet which is occupied by china and make our stand on Sikkim and Arunchal very loud and clear. 2.Support Xinjiang region's efforts to seek freedom from china both politically and financially. 3.Aksai chin,we must get it back keeping in view it's strategic importance. 4.Involve our north eastern states to have active part in the development of our nation. 5.Indian govt. must support industries,so that our reliance on china is as low as possible and alternatively we can also increase our exports which will directly compete china. 6.Indian army needs to develop strong infrastructure along sino-indian border. 7.Diplomatic efforts must be consistently active in the fields like WTO,UN against China. 8.improve relationship with china's enemies and even try to create enemies. These are just a few points that must be initiated so that these people will know their limits and they must always feel the heat from us.

Breaking India by Abdul Ghani on 2009-08-12 00:00:00
Thanks to China. It has made us to realise that our infight basing on religion, region, caste and language are dividing us. Our patriotism seems to have vanished. Elections are faught not on the basis of social issues but on the basis of sentimental issues which divides the society and the entire Nation.. Now atleast our leaderss should make the common man to realise that we are Indians first and all other things are next.Political parys based on reliion, region, languages should be barred. Then no force in the earth will succeed in dividing us.

What to do with China? by geesang on 2009-08-12 00:00:00
Why doesn't Indian medoa for once do some factual analysis? In a modern world where no one is a permanent friend or foe none of the above on its own will work. Even to suggest diplomatically isolate a country which is expected to be economically at par with US is foolish. Multilateral engagement with China, expanding the economy vigorously, engaging China and the EU etc. are the only means for India to stay relevant.

For a long time ,we r taking chin's tantrums lying down. Now it is high time we react positively, enough is enough. Try to rake all the issues globally, Tibet, human rights violations, stop Chinese goods. They are playing the big brother game. Re orient our military strategy to contain china.

How to handle India by Kathir Gaman on 2009-08-12 00:00:00
Let us not ask ourselves how to handle china but let us first of all ask ourselves HOW TO HANDLE OUR OWN CORRUPTED POLITICIANS? corrupted gouvernments, and How to uptroot the corruption in all over India through a tough law. without stopping immediately the corruption and and corrupted politicias , you can't handle china where there is no corruption and if anyone is found in corruption he will be in life imprisonment or executed within 24 hours. But in India it is different and corruption is free everywhere. and china can buy a communist minded Indian from India for any amount of money!!!!! Only a better educational system, corruptless and strong economic India can handle china or Pakistan.

Let us break India into 20 states by kathir Gaman on 2009-08-12 00:00:00
Yes It is quiet possible that , if China wants, due to our backward policy on education, corruption and we have still very old politicians running the gouvernment.countries like Nepals, Sikkim, should be hedlped by India to reduce chinese influences. communist parties in Indis should also give a hand to India but not to china. India can still succeed in keeping the whole Indian states under central gouvernment on codition that all these troubles states should be helped economically to satisfy the local poplations. It is time for us to stop giving aides to other foreign countries but let us first focus on our own states to improve their life as Indians. All the Indians states close to china and Pakistan should be hedlped impartially and make all these states to feel that are happiest citizens of India .

Tackling China by anand s devnani on 2009-08-12 00:00:00
How to deal with China requires careful thought. Bravado , slogans or chest thumping will not help.WE must deal with China the way it has dealt with USA ( remember in 1990's China needed certification each year from US President for trade etc. At present USA is dependent on China for credit- China holds trillions in USA govt debt instruments). WE need to work hard and be disciplined to strengthen our economy, defence both internal and external, scientific research and education systems and society at large (no internal divisions). Then think of tackling China . Probably it may not be necessary then. Germany and Sweden are few countries who are not members of UN security council etc but in their quiet way keep working hard and you don't hear any body making disparaging remarks about those countries.Hard work and discipline.

Boycotting Chinese products is a good idea but do we have an alternative cheap source? The only way to keep China in check is for India to be an economical global power, which is very much within its reach. India should have a higher foothold economically.

Barking dogs seldom bite - That's China by Appu on 2009-08-12 00:00:00
Ignore! The most powerful weapon.Barking dogs seldom bite.Let me tell you that China is already in pieces but just held by the force from the communist party. Come see the Chinese folks in North America and they will tell you all. It is a crumbling world, just that it starts from the center and moves outwards....so we cannot see it. Talk to these folks who have migrated to North America and they will tell you how much they despise their country. I have not come across a single soul yet, in the past 8 years here who is from India and says he hates India. That is the difference. Indians move out of India not because they hate India but they just want to make a few more bucks and live the American dream for a while, whereas Chinese move out because they hate the system to the core. See the demonstartions they have out here against their own country. IT is a "man eating man" scenario there. Being behind the iron curtains, the media is suppressed so as to contain all shitty stuff within. So guess what happens?? It will rot inside and eventually explode. No matter how much their warfare capabilities improve and so does their economy, India will always remain a force to RECKON with and history says that. The best "mantra" is to give them a BIG ignore.....and of course keep good ties with the USA...goes without saying. Trust me we need that at all times.

Let Everone know this ! by Proud Indian on 2009-08-12 00:00:00
a) Spread awareness among all Indians about China's evil intentions. Let our media ensure that every Indian must be aware of it. This should be debated in schools, colleges & all possible places so that people are mentally prepared to take on any such onslaught. Preparedness is the first line of defence. b) Talk to China & raise this issue on every forum. Show to the world what China is up to. c) Isolate our communists leaders who are the biggest supporters of China. If they don't listen, we may treat them as we treat anti-nationals. This will be a big blow to China.

Great India, dream will not come true by Raghav Lyon on 2009-08-11 00:00:00
India should be ready to improve herself from inside which includes castism and racism. Everyone has to take onus to work for India not for themselves, community, religion, state and if some space left then they think about country. Not to mention corruption has to be lower, I am not saying has to be removed but should be lowered. India should open manufacturing units in different segments and provide work to the unemployed population, it has to be controlled by semi-government organization. Once this is done then imporve the infrastructre in border to china, pakistan, bangladesh. After that stop import from China and use Tibet & Ughyr to weak china and look for new opportunity to weaken. Be a good ally with South korea, america, taiwan, japan and other countries who doesn't have good or strong relation with china, which mean very good foreign policy and diplomacy. Oh.. all above is just a dream because we Indians, proud to be indian, have water in bones. We always look for chinese product which are cheap, not mention chineese girls too. I guess I have said enough rest is upto we indian and our great indian politicians

China by Paul Alexander Gupta on 2009-08-11 00:00:00
China is one country which has boundary problems with every neighbor. Koreans, Indians, Japanese, Vietnam, Thai, Koreans, Tibetians, Taiwan, and so on. China is a loosely conglomerate of many ethnic communities, many languages, dialects, people, religion, etc. They know that they have to keep pushing the people down, aggravate countries like India who have no foreign policy on how to handle it, bribe parties like CPM and CPI who can be their paid agents in India, play with human rights and they can keep doing it as long as American customers and others worldwide gets cheaper products from them. So how should India handle them? Easy...Have a comprehensive policy. We need to have military, politically, tactically handle them. They are emotionless. We cannot show emotions. We need to show them that India is a mature country which is not going to take their bullshit.

1) Simple. Why India scared to attach Pakistan even though thousands die in India by the terrorists from Pakistan? They said they will use nuclear weapon to protect their territory even if India did not use it first. India should publically state we will use nuclear weapon if China takes an inch of Indian land. 2) India should claim Tibet and China occupied Kashmir back and support every independence movement in China. 3) Accelerate economic development so that we have enough money to modernize weapons and build infrastructure through out chinese border

Chinese threat by P K Agrawal on 2009-08-11 00:00:00
Sir, With the exception of the first suggestion on aligning with US, none of the other suggestion would work to address Chinese design to break up India. This is real. Most importantly, Indians in general, and the mandarins in South block must see through the Chinese mentality. We have not learned our lessons from the war in 1962 and continued incursions by Chinese in to Indian territory. Unfortunately, Indian politicians and adminsitration has no long-term vision and committment on national security and integrity. Soft paddling with China does not work. They only understand the language of force. we must deal with chinese from the position of strength. External threats can not be handles if we are weak internally. We have not taken any steps for integration of eastern states and Kashmir in to the mainstream. Have free flow of population from other parts of India into these states, allow population from other parts of India to settle in kashmir, handle separatist forces with iron hand (just as the Chinese do) and take national security threats seriously. Only then the external threats can be handled and addressed successfully. Take note that other nations only understand the language of strength. We are too timid and get bullied by everyone. serwe have been soft on internal security threats from maoists and other separatists. , in fri c.

Make a reality study. by Indian on 2009-08-11 00:00:00
China has to study the history again & again. Budhism, a religion that is still like hinduism and part / heart & soul of hinduism, is there in China for more than 2000 years. Chinese are not the first ones to learn / start martial arts in the world, but India is. Maha Bodhi, an Indian budhist monk taught martial arts to China and the Shaolin temple was built by the Chinese kings for this monk to teach the chinese in Hennan province. There are many temples, sculptures, artifacts are the gifts of these religious / cultural venture in to this land. Chinese music & arts has quintessentially Indian influence. And the knowledge of science, maths, astronomy & astrology etc are part / essence of Indian vedas, epics, puranas & saints contributed these and many more in Sanskrit language. Yoga, Ayurveda & Kamasutra are not gimmicks and practiced in India & world over. The spirituality, attainment & human life and death were elaborately discussed in these knowledge banks. The words, explanations of aeroplane, sound tracing arrows, the deadly weapons like Brahmastra, the culturing of human embryos outside the body (what has been done to 101 Kauravas in Mahabharatha), leaving one's body and entering of others body by the soul, vidyut (electricity) etc. can be found in Sanskrit literature which has been forgotten in India, but the modern world science have found these things practically. So these knowledge that India had, cannot be said just as fictions. So if China wants to take on India by any dubious methods or spreading misgivings, it will face utter failure. World has to think why India practicing caste system or discrimination in its soil & against its own people. For thousands of years India was facing aggression, invasions for being too good and having ancient knowledge and vast wealth. The enmity and dividing & snatching away mentality of those has divided this country. India is waking up to its past and it will one day rule the world with its knowledge & wisdom as much as in the history by its natural & greatest of great strength, but without force, or aggression and political control. World has forgotten this and external world tried to twist the facts by going against the reality. Let the truth behold the future. Falsification will fail and bring shame when the truth is out. India has to be patient and stand up to the occasions against such attempts.

Our Indian race by Ram on 2009-08-11 00:00:00
India is way too deferential towards China. India MUST emulate China, act for act, in the way it treats India. With contempt. In addtion, all Indic peoples in Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka need to be reminded that they are not Han Chinese but of Indo-Asian racial heritage. None of us would fare well in an Asia dominated by Han Chinese mongols and it up to us to protect our South Asian homeland and our children and grandchildren. We cannot rely on anyone else. India needs to take a page from Israel in defending its own race.

Start an India specific web that is maintained with government official views and statements as well as supported by a publishing house with public / netizens views. With a reality based propagation of truth and facts, make this web available through out the world and viewed by all the people / concerned governments' officials in those countries. A nation's strength lies in its ability to show the truth against false propaganda and make these propagandists shut their mouth when falsifying. Invite those prominent people /netizens from both India and China for open discussion and talks. Government to government talks will remain in secrets, but the open views will have great impact as it won't allow for lies.

China is an economic giant ,economic ties with china are benefecial to India , it will be better for India to align itself with friendly countries like Japan USA and vietnam ,wait for favourable time ,which is bound to come ,democracy in china is going to come eventually ,promote the development of a democratic china not a communist china ,keep the lines of communication open with taiwan ,tibet and ugers

Break China in to 1000 pieces by auplainsman on 2009-08-11 00:00:00
Diplomatically isolating China is impossible for India right now. The best way to tackle a bull is to tackle it by it horns. We should support freedom struggle of the Tibetan people by supplying them with arms and ammunition as well as help the separatist Uygurs in Xinjiang the same way also establish full diplomatic relations with Taiwan. Block all goods that are being imported from China and tarnish their reputation by supplying bad products to the rest of the world as made in China (Chinese are doing this to us already, so this is fair). India has ignored China long enough, we need a comprehensive strategy to reclaim all areas that were lost to China up to McMohan line. Arrogant Chinese should be given a taste of their own medicine. India should help break china in to 1000 pieces which would be better not only for Asia but the entire world.

Fester problems in NW China, Tibet and other non-Han regions. There are many locals who would do that for money as regional China is very very poor.
