Mullahs protest terror arrests, courtesy Congress

By Anand Mishra ‘Abhay’

Green Engine: Aazami Train: Pro-Pakistan Passengers

On January 29, people were rather curious to see a railway train being pulled by a ‘Green Engine’, compartments packed with skull capped youngmen lead by bearded mullahs. Later it was revealed that this special train was going to Delhi to hold a protest rally against the law and order maintaining forces who had killed two Indian mujahideens in an encounter at Batla House in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. Perhaps to paint the engine green for this ‘Ulema Express’ was to show Railway Minister’s sympathy with those mujahideens. From any point of view this scene was totally anti-national and pro-Pakistan. To pamper such traitorous rallies is not only a pity but a shame for the government and the Railway Ministry lead by a person who is more of a clown than a minister. What a paradox! On one side the government honours those who sacrificed their life to make the nation secure and on the other hand the same government facilitates those who are openly patronising traitors. Just see the humour, while late Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma sacrificed his life for the cause of the nation, a demand for an inquiry to create doubts about his bonafides is being shamelessly supported by the government. Is it not a dishonour to ‘Shaurya Chakra’ awarded to that police officer of repute for his integrity and dutifulness?

A correspondent of Hindi daily Amar Ujala who had boarded this train at Lucknow who was dropped at Kanpur. His narration speaks much more than published in his paper. The special passengers were well trained and disciplined. The correspondent was questioned how he managed to board this special train. But a monitor like leader saved him from further questioning ordering him to hang a travelling pass of ‘Ulema Express’ around his neck. The correspondent saw that cautions were given by whistle. A long whistle meant to reach one’s seat as the train is going to move, two short whistles meant that there is some unknown outsider inside the train, three whistles meant stop walking to and fro from one compartment to another. A loud speaker was also being used for instructions. The correspondent was entertained by a piece of Gur (jaggery) and mineral water. A youngman named Suhel questioned the correspondent: “Look at this train, are we terrorists? We are terrorised by Israel (i.e. ATS).” Passengers were talking to one another but no one was allowed to talk to that correspondent. Even CRP personnel on duty were not allowed to board the train. Any how they managed to enter the train in under to perform their duty.

A statement of Shabana Azmi a shrewd communalist in her very marrow has warned the government that the anger of innocent Muslims can prove very dangerous, just to hide the fact that Azamgarh and the area around has become a den of ISI agents and pro-Pakistani elements.

One should ask what sort of government is this? Does it deserve to be called a government. Perhaps India is the only country where the government has forgotten to govern. It's main concern is to garner maximum number of Muslim votes and for that it can go to any limit. Has this government not become a curse for the country and the nation? The pity is that while anti-national forces especially Islamic ones are openly and boldly threatening our very existence, the nationalist and patriotic forces are awefully busy in infighting and that too without an iota of shame. May the Almighty save us from the coming dangers whose black shadows have started casting since long.

A PERFECT LETTER TO PM MANMOHAN SINGH FROM A RESIDENT OF MUMBAI

LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER MANMOHAN SINGH

Dear Mr. Prime minister
I am a typical mouse from Mumbai. In the local train compartment which has capacity of 100 persons, I travel with 500 more mouse. Mouse at least squeak but we don't even do that.
Today I heard your speech. In which you said 'NO BODY WOULD BE SPARED'. I would like to remind you that fourteen years has passed since serial bomb blast in Mumbai took place. Dawood was the main conspirator. Till today he is not caught. All our bolywood actors, our builders, our Gutka king meets him but your Government can not catch him. Reason is simple; all your ministers are hand in glove with him. If any attempt is made to catch him everybody will be exposed. Your statement 'NOBODY WOULD BE SPARED' is nothing but a cruel joke on this unfortunate people of India .
Enough is enough. As such after seeing terrorist attack carried out by about a dozen young boys I realize that if same thing continues days are not away when terrorist will attack by air, destroy our nuclear reactor and there will be one more Hiroshima .
We the people are left with only one mantra. Womb to Bomb to Tomb. You promised Mumbaikar Shanghai what you have given us is Jalianwala Baug.
Today only your home minister resigned. What took you so long to kick out this joker? Only reason was that he was loyal to Gandhi family. Loyalty to Gandhi family is more important than blood of innocent people, isn't it?
I am born and bought up in Mumbai for last fifty eight years. Believe me corruption in Maharashtra is worse than that in Bihar Look at all the politician, Sharad Pawar, Chagan Bhujbal, Narayan Rane, Bal Thackray , Gopinath Munde, Raj Thackray, Vilasrao Deshmukh all are rolling in money. Vilasrao Deshmukh is one of the worst Chief minister I have seen. His only business is to increase the FSI every other day, make money and send it to Delhi so Congress can fight next election. Now the clown has found new way and will increase FSI for fisherman so they can build concrete house right on sea shore. Next time terrorist can comfortably live in those house , enjoy the beauty of sea and then attack the Mumbai at their will.
Recently I had to purchase house in Mumbai. I met about two dozen builders. Everybody wanted about 30% in black. A common person like me knows this and with all your intelligent agency & CBI you and your finance minister are not aware of it.. Where all the black money goes? To the underworld isn't it? Our politicians take help of these goondas to vacate people by force. I myself was victim of it. If you have time please come to me, I will tell you everything.
If this has been land of fools, idiots then I would not have ever cared to write you this letter. Just see the tragedy, on one side we are reaching moon, people are so intelligent and on other side you politician has converted nectar into deadly poison. I am everything Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Schedule caste, OBC, Muslim OBC, Christian Schedule caste, Creamy Schedule caste only what I am not is INDIAN. You politician have raped every part of mother India by your policy of divide and rule.
Take example of former president Abdul Kalam. Such a intelligent person, such a fine human being. You politician didn't even spare him. Your party along with opposition joined the hands, because politician feels they are supreme and there is no place for good person.
Dear Mr Prime minister you are one of the most intelligent person, most learned person. Just wake up, be a real SARDAR. First and foremost expose all selfish politician. Ask Swiss bank to give name of all Indian account holder. Give reins of CBI to independent agency. Let them find wolf among us.. There will be political upheaval but that will better than dance of death which we are witnessing every day. Just give us ambient where we can work honestly and without fear. Let there be rule of law. Everything else will be taken care of.
Choice is yours Mr. Prime Minister. Do you want to be lead by one person or you want to lead the nation of 100 Crore people?

Spineless, Spermless, Semenless and Spiritless Indian Leaders !

India is a super power but being ruled by super impotent leaders.

Impotent Indian leaders should learn something from the US and Israeli leaders.

Manmohan singh should come out of the saree of Sonia Gandhi and take some independent decision. He has to prove that "Singh is the real King" not just a king
inside the saree.

Even the BJP leadership was hopeless when parliament was attacked. Almost dead PM Vajpayee did not bother to consult semidead DPM Advani and Released top terrorists and asked conscious less Jaswant Singh to accompany them along with a gift of Rs. 500 crores and compromised with the hijackers of air-india plane with bent knees. Now they are demanding the same terrorists back! What non-sense.

When Iran knocked down US plane, then President Reagan had warned Muslim Terrorists that if you are terrorists, we are mad; and we are going to screw you now and right now.

Similarly Bush had warned after 9/11 that we will make no distinction between the terrorists and those who harbor them.

Israel does not give a shit to international opinion when their interests are hurt. They strike with full force and teach those bastards a good lesson.

So wake up Indian leaders ! show that you have some balls and some sperms & semen left or take some viagra or cialis and get going and do the needful. What for these missiles are......to blast yourself inside out ! Shame on Spineless Indian Leaders !
So fire them and blast the training camps of Lashkar-e-toiba and Jaish-e-Moahammad.

US daily blames squabbling Indian leaders' for terror attacks

New York (PTI): A leading US daily has blamed "squabbling" Indian political leaders' failure to put national security above partisan politics for a series of terrorist attacks that the country has witnessed, saying its approach to terrorism has consistently been "haphazard and weak-kneed."

"When faced with fundamentalist demands, India's democratically elected leaders have regularly preferred caving to confrontation on a point of principle. The country's institutions and culture have abetted a widespread sense of Muslim separateness from the national mainstream," the Wall Street Journal said in a stinging commentary.

"The country's anti-terrorism effort is reactive and episodic rather than proactive and sustained. Its public discourse on Islam oscillates between crude, anti-Muslim bigotry and mindless sympathy for largely unjustified Muslim grievance-mongering. Its failure to either charm or cow its Islamist-friendly neighbours -- Pakistan and Bangladesh -- reveals a limited grasp of statecraft," the Journal said.

The country's diplomats and soldiers have failed to stabilize the neighborhood, it said, adding that the ongoing attacks in Mumbai underscores the price both Indians and non-Indians caught unawares must now pay.

India's leaders "who invariably swan around with armed guards paid for by the taxpayer" - can't even agree on a legal framework to keep the country safe, it says, adding that on taking office in 2004, one of the first acts of the ruling Congress Party was to scrap a federal antiterrorism law that strengthened witness protection and enhanced police powers.

The Congress, it says, has stalled state-level legislation in Gujarat, which is ruled by the opposition BJP. And it was a Congress government that kowtowed to fundamentalist pressure and made India the first country to ban Mumbai-born Salman Rushdie's "Satanic Verses" in 1988.

Indian Mujahideen threatens to target Mumbai

Indo-Asian News Service
Sunday, September 14, 2008, (New Delhi)

The Indian Mujahideen, which has claimed the responsibility for the serial terror blasts in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Jaipur, which killed at least 130 people in a span of four months, has now threatened to carry out attacks in India's financial capital - Mumbai.

Accusing Mumbai Police's Anti-Terrorism Squad of harassing Muslims, the Indian Mujahideen, believed to be a front strike unit of the banned Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), said in its email that it was closely watching the ATS.

"You should know that your acts are not at all left unnoticed; rather we are closely keeping an eye on you and just waiting for the proper time to execute your bloodshed. We are aware of your recent night raids at Ansarnagar, Mograpada in Andheri and the harassment and trouble you created there for the Muslims," the group said in the email.

The email was sent to various media houses on Saturday evening when five synchronised explosions at popular markets and business hubs in New Delhi claimed 21 lives.

"You threatened to murder them and your mischief went to such an extent that you even dared to abuse and insult Maulana Mahmood-ul-Hasan Qasmi and even misbehaved with the Muslim women and children there.

"If this is the degree to which your arrogance has reached, and if you think that by these stunts you can scare us, then let the Indian Mujahideen warn all the people of Mumbai that whatever deadly attacks you will face in future, the only responsible elements for it will be the Mumbai ATS and their guardians: Vilasrao Deshmukh and RR Patil.

"You are already on our hit-list and this time very very seriously," the email said.

The terror outfit also threatened to target a senior Rajasthan police official.

"Let us notify you, as we did to the Gujarat Police that all the Mujahideen who shook Jaipur are absolutely safe and secure, and are heavily preparing for our next targets, one of which is AK Jain, DIG (Deputy Inspector General) of Rajasthan.

Jain has been instrumental in arresting several SIMI members in Rajasthan in connection with the May 13 serial blasts in Jaipur.

The mail bears two signatures at the end, GuruAlhindi and Al-Arbi.

Bombings “a tribute to our brethren martyrs

NEW DELHI: In the fifth in a series of manifestos issued by the Indian Mujahideen since it began a series of nationwide urban bombings in 2007, the terrorist group has said Saturday’s serial bombings were intended to “stop the heart of India from beating.”

“We the Indian Mujahideen, ask Allah, the Almighty, to accept from us these nine explosions which were planned to be executed in the holy month of Ramadan,” states a 13-page manifesto and video slide-show e-mailed by the Indian Mujahideen to media in the midst of the bombings.

Charging Indians with harbouring “never ending hostile hatred in your hearts against Islam and its people,” the manifesto says that the bombings are intended to “prove to you the ability and potential of [the] Indian Mujahideen to assault any city of India at any time.” It promises that more terror attacks fill follow “to punish you even before your earlier wounds have healed.”

Much of the manifesto is devoted to holding out threats to the police and media. It states: “Be it the ATS [Anti-Terrorism Squad] of Maharashtra, the ATS and ACB of Gujarat, the OCTOPUS [Organisation for Countering Terrorists] of Andhra Pradesh, or be it a psychological propaganda war by the biased media, none shall be spared when it comes to vengeance – the Qisas.”

For the first time, the Indian Mujahideen makes reference to the conflict in Jammu and Kashmir. “The injustice and pain inflicted on Kashmiri Muslims during the Amarnath crisis has once again landed you in great trouble,” it warns.

Describing the Delhi bombings as “a tribute to all our brethren martyrs in Kashmir,” the Indian Mujahideen says, “We announce that from now on, Inshallah, the Muslims won’t cry alone, our women won’t be widowed alone, our children won’t balone [sic., be alone] and scores will be settled evenly.”

Interestingly, in an evident response to anti-jihadist clerics who have in recent months attacked the Indian Mujahideen, the e-mail lays claim to the legacy of famous regional jihadists. “We have carried out this attack in the memory of two most eminent Mujahids of India, Sayyed Ahmed, Shaheed and Shah Ismail, Shaheed (may Allah bestow His Mercy upon them), who had raised the glorious banner of Jihad against the disbelievers in this very city of Delhi.”

Sayyid Ahmad of Rai Bareilly and Shah Ismail died at Balakote, Pakistan-administered Kashmir, in May 1831, in what is present-day Pakistan-administered Kashmir, while waging an unsuccessful jihad against Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s kingdom. Ahmad’s followers went on to set up the Jamaat Ahl-e-Hadis — a neo-fundamentalist order that has drawn million of mainly-peaceful followers, but has also inspired south Asia’s largest terrorist group, the Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Pakistan-based Lashkar units are thought to have trained several members of the proscribed Students Islamic Movement of India, from which the Indian Mujahideen has drawn its cadre.

Indian Mujahideen operatives had issued the first of five similar manifestos in November, 2007, minutes before the bombing of three trial court buildings in Uttar Pradesh.

Police in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan believe that this e-mail was drafted by Lucknow-based businessman Shahbaz Husain and cleric Abdul Bashir Qasmi, both of whom were arrested earlier this month. Both the address used to send the e-mail, guru_alHindi@yahoo.fr, and the pseudonym used to sign ‘Guru al-Hindi’ bore interesting similarities with Husain’s personal e-mail address, hahbaz_hindi@yahoo.com.

Sources involved in the investigation of the May serial bombings in Jaipur said they believe Husain, with some advice on theological issues from Qasmi, also drafted the e-mail issued by the Indian Mujahideen in the wake of the attacks. Like the court-complex e-mail, this document was also signed by ‘Guru al-Hindi’ and sent out from an e-mail address containing his name, guru_alhindi_jaipur@ yahoo.co.uk.

Later Indian Mujahideen manifestos are believed to have authored by Abdul Subhan Qureshi — a Mumbai-based software engineer-turned top Students Islamic Movement of India bomb-maker who was profiled in The Hindu on Saturday.

Qureshi, police sources say, designed the graphics-rich Portable Document Format manifesto attached to an Indian Mujahideen e-mail issued by its most ambitious terror operation so far, the attacks on Surat and Ahmedabad in July. This third e-mail manifesto bore the signatures of both ‘al-Hindi’ and ‘al-Arbi’, or ‘the Arab,’ and was sent out from alarbi_gujarat@yahoo.com. Forensic specialists have established that the handwriting used in the signature for ‘Arbi’ closely matches that of Qureshi.

Later, ‘al-Arbi’ sent out a fourth e-mail to decry the arrest of key suspects alleged to be involved in the Indian Mujahideen, including Qasmi. In this last e-mail, he promised to execute further attacks.

Saturday’s terror manifesto bears the signatures of both ‘al-Arbi’ and ‘al-Hindi,’ but the writing used for the second name is significantly different from that used in earlier Indian Mujahideen documents — a fact which could bear out police claims that the individual it refers to has been arrested.

Free SIMI dangerous....HT

The ban on the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) would continue for now as the Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed a designated tribunal’s order quashing the centre’s notification proscribing it under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

A bench headed by the Chief Justice of India, K.G. Balakrishnan, stayed the August 5 order of the tribunal after Additional Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium contended that it would lead to “serious consequences” if SIMI was allowed to operate freely. The court also issued notice to SIMI and posted the matter for hearing after three weeks. The order staying the tribunal’s decision would remain in force till the next date.

In its petition challenging the tribunal’s order, the Centre said: “SIMI is against the Indian nationalism and works to replace it with the International Islamic Order.”

It said: “SIMI is known to have launched a countrywide campaign since November 1996 to mobilise support for the Muslims to establish Caliphate for Muslim community.” Financially sound, the organisation was active in 13 states, including Delhi, and involved in several terrorist and disruptive activities, it added.

The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal headed by Justice Gita Mittal of the Delhi High Court had quashed the February 2008 notification banning SIMI. The organisation was first banned in 2001 and since then the ban is being extended every two year. The ASG said the tribunal has lifted the ban on a technical ground without properly evaluating the evidence presented by the government, including the depositions of 77 senior police and Intelligence Bureau officials.

A home ministry official later said the tribunal had rejected their contention on the ground that the notification imposing the ban did not contain detailed reasons for SIMI’s proscription. The tribunal order acknowledges that its order was not on the basis of merits of the case. He said the tribunal ignored the cabinet not detailing intelligence inputs about SIMI’s illegal activities, besides the home ministry’s senior officials’ assessments and reasons for seeking a ban on SIMI.

UPA divided, BJP on offensive

The UPA stood divided on Wednesday over the ban on SIMI. The Congress favoured the continuance of the ban while the RJD and Samajwadi Party opposed it. The Congress did not agree with RJD chief Lalu Prasad and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav’s stand of a “no ban” on SIMI.

The BJP, on the other hand, has tried to link the SIMI issue to national security. “The inability of the government to furnish ‘fresh’ evidence to the Delhi High Court Tribunal raises serious doubts about the intent of the government to fight terror in such pressing times,” said BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy.

‘Indian Mujahideen’ claims responsibility

Praveen Swami

Reprisal for 2002 riots, say suspected SIMI-Lashkar front organisations

NEW DELHI: In a 14-page manifesto e-mailed to the media minutes before Saturday’s serial bombings, an organisation calling itself the “Indian Mujahideen” has claimed responsibility for the Ahmedabad attacks.

Titled “The Rise of Jihad”, the manifesto says the bombings were carried out to avenge the 2002 anti-Muslim violence in Gujarat. “In the light of the injustice and wrongs on the Muslims of Gujarat,” it says, “we advance our jihad and call all our brethren under it to unite and answer these irresolute kafireen [infidels] of India.”

It warns of future attacks, complaining that the police “disturbed us by arresting, imprisoning, and torturing our brothers in the name of SIMI [Students Islamic Movement of India].”

In a similar document sent minutes before May’s serial bomb strikes in Jaipur, the IM had said such bombings were intended “to clearly give our message to Kuffar-e-Hind [the infidels of India] that if Islam and Muslims in this country are not safe then the light of your safety will also go off very soon.”

Near-identical language had been earlier used by the IM in a document e-mailed to television stations minutes before the bombing of three trial-court buildings in Uttar Pradesh last year. In its e-mail, the IM said it was retaliating against “wounds given by the idol worshipers of India.”

Investigators belive the IM is a loose coalition of elements from the Students Islamic Movement of India, the Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Harkat ul-Jihad-e-Islami.

Police were able to determine that the explosive used in the Uttar Pradesh bombings was supplied by a Jammu and Kashmir-based Harkat-ul-Jihad-e-Islami unit. Jaunpur-based SIMI activist Mohammad Khalid Mujahid and Azamgarh Unani doctor Mohammad Tariq were held for their alleged role in planning two of the three court bombings, However, the members of the third cell, who are also thought to have sent out the e-mail, remain untraced.

While military-grade plastic explosive was used in Jaipur and Uttar Pradesh, the bombs used in Ahmedabad appear to have been constructed with ammonium nitrate, a widely-available chemical with a range of industrial applications. Police sources said the bombs resembled the devices used in Bangalore on Friday.
